Computed Tomography in Aeronautical parts manufacturing

The AeroCT project aims to accelerate the introduction of metal 3D printing in the manufacture of aeronautical parts, by better controlling the harmfulness of defects and quality control means, including 3D radiography, called tomography or CT.

The principle of X-ray tomography is to carry out a 2D radiography of an object (a part, a part of the body, etc.), “from all angles”, which makes it possible to obtain information on the density of this object at any point (voxel) and therefore allow a complete expertise of the interior of the room.
